We reserve the right to amend these Terms in accordance with Section 23.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. ELIGIBILITY AND USE OF WEBSITE
By using our website or placing an order, you represent that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract or are acting with appropriate authorisation.
You agree to:
-
Provide accurate, complete and current information when placing an order.
-
Use our website only for lawful purposes.
-
Refrain from fraudulent or misleading transactions.
-
Not interfere with the security, integrity or functionality of our website.
-
Not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit website content without authorisation.
We may restrict access to our website or refuse transactions where reasonably necessary to protect our business, customers or systems from unlawful conduct, fraud or security threats, subject to applicable law.
3. PRODUCT INFORMATION AND SPECIFICATIONS
Steel Power Shelving supplies a range of storage and workplace organisation products, including garage shelving, warehouse shelving, longspan shelving, workbenches, pegboards, storage cabinets, accessories and related components.
We take reasonable care to ensure that all product descriptions, images, dimensions, technical specifications and pricing information published on our website are accurate.
However, minor variations may occur as a result of manufacturing tolerances, product improvements, display settings or lighting conditions.
Product specifications, materials, configurations and designs may be updated from time to time.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the relevant product details and ensuring that the selected products meet their requirements.
Where customers communicate a particular intended purpose or requirement to us, any recommendations or representations made by our team will be subject to applicable consumer guarantees, including fitness for disclosed purpose.
If you require clarification regarding dimensions, compatibility, load capacity or suitability, please contact our customer service team before purchasing.
We will not make material substitutions to accepted orders without appropriate customer agreement.
4. PRODUCT LOAD CAPACITY AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
All shelving products must be assembled, installed, maintained and used in accordance with their applicable specifications and instructions.
Advertised weight capacities are based on the relevant product configuration and applicable load distribution requirements.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, shelving load capacities refer to evenly distributed loads and do not represent permissible concentrated or point loads.
Customers and users must take reasonable care to ensure that:
-
Shelving is assembled correctly using the appropriate components.
-
Weight is distributed evenly across each shelf.
-
The specified maximum load capacity is not exceeded.
-
Shelving is positioned on a stable, level and suitable surface.
-
All beams, uprights, shelves and other components are properly installed.
-
Damaged, bent, loose or defective components are not used.
-
Shelving is not climbed on or used for unintended purposes.
-
Products are inspected and maintained as appropriate for their operating environment.
Where required by the location, application or applicable safety requirements, additional stability measures or professional installation advice may be necessary.
Load capacities vary according to the product model, dimensions, configuration and specifications. Customers must refer to the information applicable to the particular product purchased.
Steel Power Shelving is not responsible for damage or injury caused solely by improper assembly, misuse, excessive loading or unauthorised modification, except to the extent that liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in this section limits our obligations regarding product quality, safety or fitness for purpose under applicable law.
5. PRODUCT COMPATIBILITY AND COMPONENTS
Individual shelving components, including uprights, beams, shelves, pegboards, hooks and connecting accessories, are designed for specified Steel Power Shelving systems.
Compatibility may vary between product ranges, dimensions and manufacturing generations.
In particular, Light Duty and Heavy Duty shelving systems may use different connection mechanisms, component dimensions or structural specifications.
Components from different product systems or manufacturers should not be assumed to be interchangeable.
Customers purchasing replacement parts or additional components are encouraged to confirm compatibility before ordering.
Steel Power Shelving does not guarantee compatibility with third-party products unless expressly confirmed in writing.
Any representations or recommendations made by our team remain subject to applicable consumer guarantees.
6. PRICING AND GST
All prices displayed on our Australian website are expressed in Australian Dollars (AUD).
Unless otherwise stated, published prices include Goods and Services Tax (GST), where applicable.
Product prices may be updated without prior notice; however, changes will not ordinarily affect orders that have already been accepted.
Delivery charges, installation fees and other additional services will be disclosed before the customer agrees to the relevant charge.
While we take reasonable care to maintain accurate pricing information, occasional errors may occur.
Where a genuine pricing error is identified, we will contact the customer and explain the available options in accordance with applicable law.
7. ORDERS AND PAYMENT
By placing an order, you agree to provide accurate billing, contact and delivery information.
Orders are subject to payment verification, product availability and applicable order requirements.
Available payment methods may include those offered through our website or separately agreed with our team.
Orders generally require successful payment confirmation before dispatch unless alternative arrangements have been expressly approved.
We reserve the right to request additional information where reasonably necessary to verify an order or prevent fraudulent transactions.
If an order cannot be fulfilled due to stock availability, an incorrect product listing or another legitimate operational issue, we will contact the customer and arrange an appropriate solution, which may include a revised fulfilment arrangement or refund.
An automated order acknowledgement does not, by itself, guarantee immediate dispatch or stock availability.
8. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Shipping and delivery services are provided in accordance with our published Shipping & Delivery Policy.
We provide delivery to eligible locations throughout Australia using our own delivery network and authorised third-party freight providers.
Delivery charges, availability and estimated timeframes depend on factors including destination, order size, product dimensions and accessibility.
Standard deliveries are generally provided to an accessible ground-floor location, building entrance or suitable unloading area.
Upstairs delivery, indoor placement, extended manual handling or special access requirements must be arranged in advance and may incur additional charges.
Any additional charges must be communicated and agreed upon before the relevant service is performed.
Delivery dates and estimated arrival windows are provided in good faith and may be affected by traffic, weather, carrier schedules, vehicle issues or unforeseen operational circumstances.
Specific delivery dates or times are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed as a guaranteed arrangement.
For further information, please refer to our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
9. THIRD-PARTY FREIGHT SERVICES
Where orders are delivered by external freight providers, delivery arrangements may be subject to the carrier's operational schedules and service limitations.
Third-party delivery services generally do not include upstairs delivery, indoor placement or installation unless expressly agreed.
Customers may be provided with tracking details or delivery updates when available.
Steel Power Shelving will provide reasonable assistance with enquiries concerning delayed, missing or damaged goods.
The use of a third-party freight provider does not remove or limit our obligations under applicable consumer laws.
10. COLLECTION FROM WAREHOUSE
Free warehouse collection may be available at designated Steel Power Shelving locations.
Customers must wait for confirmation that their order is ready before attending the collection location.
Proof of purchase or order identification may be required.
Customers are responsible for arranging suitable transport and taking reasonable precautions to safely secure products after collection.
Collection availability and operating hours may vary between locations.
11. ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION SERVICES
Unless expressly stated otherwise, products are supplied flat-packed and require assembly.
Where available, assembly instructions, installation guides or demonstration videos may be provided.
Customers are responsible for following applicable assembly instructions and ensuring the intended installation location is suitable.
Professional installation assistance may be available for selected products and locations at an additional charge.
Installation quotations cover the scope of work expressly agreed with the customer.
Additional charges may apply for services outside the agreed scope, including:
-
Additional product assembly.
-
Upstairs or restricted-access locations.
-
Additional labour or manual handling.
-
Special installation requirements.
-
On-site services not included in the original quotation.
Any additional chargeable work must be communicated to and approved by the customer before proceeding.
Unless expressly agreed, installation services do not include structural modifications, floor or wall anchoring, electrical work or other specialist trades.
Any installation or service issue will be assessed in accordance with the agreed scope and applicable consumer guarantees.
12. RETURNS, REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Returns, exchanges, refunds and cancellations are governed by our published Return & Refund Policy and applicable Australian Consumer Law.
Change of Mind
Change-of-mind returns may be accepted where they meet the eligibility requirements set out in our Return & Refund Policy.
Eligibility may depend on factors including the return period, product condition, original packaging and whether the product has been assembled or used.
Applicable administrative, restocking or return shipping fees may apply to eligible voluntary change-of-mind returns where properly disclosed and permitted by law.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
Customers who receive faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise non-compliant products may be entitled to statutory remedies.
We may request reasonable supporting information, including photographs or order details, to assist with assessing the issue.
Order Cancellations
Customers wishing to cancel an order should contact us as soon as possible.
Cancellation requests will be assessed based on the order status, any applicable agreed special-order conditions and the customer's legal rights.
Any cancellation fees must be consistent with the terms disclosed before purchase and applicable law.
Nothing in our return, refund or cancellation arrangements limits rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
13. WARRANTY AND AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER GUARANTEES
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
For a major failure with goods, consumers may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement and may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
Where goods fail to meet a consumer guarantee and the failure is not major, the supplier may generally have an opportunity to provide an appropriate remedy within a reasonable time.
Any manufacturer's warranty or voluntary product warranty offered by Steel Power Shelving is provided in addition to statutory consumer rights.
Warranty conditions, where applicable, may vary by product.
Damage arising from misuse, improper assembly, unauthorised modifications, excessive loading or unsuitable operating conditions may fall outside voluntary warranty coverage, subject to applicable law.
Customers seeking warranty assistance should contact our customer service team with their order details and a description of the issue.
14. BULK ORDERS AND COMMERCIAL PURCHASES
Steel Power Shelving welcomes enquiries from commercial customers, warehouses, businesses and organisations requiring multiple shelving units or customised storage configurations.
Customers may provide their required dimensions, product quantities, intended applications and delivery information to request a quotation.
We may offer complimentary product layout recommendations and customised quotations based on the information supplied.
Additional discounts may be available for eligible bulk orders.
Bulk pricing, special quotations, delivery arrangements and other negotiated conditions are subject to written confirmation.
Special-order, made-to-order or customised products may be subject to additional conditions, which will be disclosed before the order is confirmed.
Commercial customers may also have rights under the Australian Consumer Law, depending on the circumstances of the transaction.
15. PROMOTIONS AND SPECIAL OFFERS
Promotional discounts, coupon codes, free delivery campaigns and other special offers may be subject to separate conditions.
These conditions may include:
-
Promotional validity periods.
-
Minimum purchase amounts.
-
Eligible product categories.
-
Delivery location restrictions.
-
Excluded products or services.
-
Restrictions on combining multiple offers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, promotional discounts cannot be combined.
Promotional offers may be amended or withdrawn prospectively, subject to applicable law and any already accepted orders.
Any misleading promotional information or genuine pricing error will be handled in accordance with applicable consumer protection requirements.
16. PRODUCT CARE AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Unless specifically advertised as suitable for outdoor or specialised environments, standard steel shelving products are primarily intended for suitable indoor storage applications.
Exposure to excessive moisture, prolonged outdoor conditions, corrosive substances or unsuitable environments may affect product appearance, performance or service life.
Customers should follow relevant product care instructions and take reasonable precautions to maintain products in appropriate conditions.
Steel Power Shelving does not represent that all products are stainless steel, waterproof, corrosion-proof or suitable for every outdoor environment.
Customers requiring products for specialised applications should contact us before purchasing.

Unless otherwise stated, all website content, including text, product descriptions, images, graphics, logos, layouts, videos and other materials, is owned by Steel Power Shelving Pty Ltd or used under appropriate authorisation.
All applicable intellectual property rights are reserved.
Users may access website content for personal, informational and legitimate purchasing purposes.
Unauthorised reproduction, redistribution, modification or commercial exploitation of website content is prohibited, except where permitted by law or with our prior written consent.
18. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES
Our website may contain links to third-party websites or integrate services operated by external providers.
Such services may include payment processors, freight providers, communication platforms and other business technology providers.
Third-party websites and services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
Steel Power Shelving is not responsible for independent third-party website content or practices, except to the extent required by applicable law.
19. PRIVACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
We are committed to handling personal information responsibly and in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws.
Personal information collected through our website may be used for order processing, payment verification, delivery arrangements, customer support and other legitimate business purposes.
For further information about how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
20. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Steel Power Shelving is not liable for losses caused solely by circumstances outside its legal responsibility, including:
-
Improper product use or assembly contrary to applicable instructions.
-
Unauthorised modifications or alterations.
-
Loading beyond specified product capacities.
-
Use of incompatible components not approved by Steel Power Shelving.

Damage resulting solely from unsuitable environmental conditions or customer misuse.
-
Incorrect information supplied by the customer, where the resulting loss is attributable to that information.
Where relevant, responsibility will be assessed in light of the circumstances, the conduct of the parties and applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any non-excludable statutory guarantees, remedies or liabilities, including those under the Australian Consumer Law.
We do not seek to exclude responsibility for loss or damage where doing so would be unlawful.
21. ERRORS, OMISSIONS AND WEBSITE AVAILABILITY
We endeavour to maintain accurate and current website information.
However, occasional typographical errors, technical inaccuracies, outdated availability information or service interruptions may occur.
We may correct information and update website content where reasonably necessary.
If an error materially affects an accepted order, we will contact the customer and provide an appropriate solution in accordance with applicable law.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted website availability but will take reasonable steps to maintain website functionality and security.
22. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, subject to any mandatory laws and protections applicable to customers in other Australian jurisdictions.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any rights available under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
23. AMENDMENTS TO TERMS
Steel Power Shelving may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in its business operations, products, services, legal requirements or website functionality.
The current version will be published on our website with its latest revision date.
Any amendments will apply prospectively, unless otherwise lawfully agreed.
Changes will not retrospectively remove rights or materially alter obligations under an already accepted order without an appropriate legal basis or customer agreement.
We encourage customers to review these Terms periodically.
24. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be severed to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent legally permissible.
25. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with any applicable order confirmation, agreed quotation, and our published Privacy Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy and Return & Refund Policy, form the relevant terms governing transactions with Steel Power Shelving.
Where a separately agreed written quotation or order-specific condition expressly varies a general term, the specifically agreed condition will ordinarily prevail for that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in this section limits any rights arising from representations, statutory guarantees or other obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
